After almost three years and over 150 posts, it's time to end this blog. It followed me through an adventure in Pähkinä, aka A House Called Nut, a return to the city, and motherhood. Through it, I've met new friends, both online and in person, and have had countless pleasant exchanges through the many emails and comments I've received over these years. Thank you for that, for reading, for sharing in my story.
Life was very different when I started this blog. I was a childless graduate student and freelancer, living in the woods with no immediate neighbors. I was on an adventure, and I had a lot of time on my hands. Now, I'm a parent to a young child with a full-time job. Back in the city, I'm again living among friends, neighbors, and, for better or for worse, diversions. It's hard to remember what it's like to have so much time. I'm sure I wasted a lot of it, but this blog is a chronicle of a lot of the magic that did happen in that period.
Writing is something I've always loved and always done, and I certainly haven't stopped--there will probably even be another blog one day. If you'd like to be notified when and if that happens, please send an email to: michele "at" ahousecallednut.com and I will be in touch.
Thank you, friends! I'll miss you!
